Magical Nostalgia

I read an old copy of this book many years ago. It belonged to my late Grandmother. The pages were loose and many were missing but I still loved the story and never forgot it. Back then, I didn't know who the author was, but I always kept an eye out for another copy of this book whenever I was in a second-hand bookshop. I never found one. Imagine my delight when I discovered it on Amazon, all these years later!! Finally knowing the author's name, I promptly bought a copy. I spent the whole day reading it, transported back into another, more gentle world. It was nostalgia at its most magical. The story still kept me spellbound until the end. Thank you Amazon for having the good sense to stock a book which many would consider out-of-date and irrelevant in today's harsh modern world. However, "The Rosary" (which is the name of a song in the book) is nothing but delightful. Jane Champion is a champion amongst heroines and could teach many a "young thing" today about life and love. I love this book and will read it many, many times. Thank you.

My most beloved book ever

The Rosary is simply the book I love the most, if I had to choose one book from my library, to have till the end of my life, this would be the Rosary. I read it every few months.The Rosary takes you to delicate gardens of England mansions in 1900s and tells a story about two most loved people of the British high society. They are Jane Champion and Garth Dalmain who are in love but face a great obstacle. The story is about those two and their struggle to come together. It also gives a taste of lives of British socielites at those times. The language of book is especially delicious, and it has its own sense of humor.I love this book!
