Amazing book that takes me right back to Thailand. It is huge and very heavy. As I treasure my memories of Thailand it feels like a trip to memory lane with all its beautiful photos. I am on the Paleo style diet and I hope to get a lot more ideas for Paleo breakfasts and I cannot wait to try all the Thai dishes out. Street food has always been my favourite Thai food. The recipes are all well explained. So let's get cooking

This is a truly beautiful large book that is as much at home on the coffee table as in the kitchen. There are multi-page sections of beautiful full page photographs that give you the feeling of walking around Thai street markets, looking at all the fresh ingredients and characters working there.The recipes are divided up by the times of the day that the food is prepared. Each section is divided from others by more of the beautiful photography. The recipes are largely easy to follow, but being totally authentic, you will need to visit a specialist Asian supermarket to source some of the ingredients in a few recipes.Well worth the purchase price.

I love this book. And I loved his first. But this is not a book for cooking everyday food and there is nothing wrong with that. Street food often comprises dishes that are too fiddly to prepare at home, that's why you eat them when you're out. Also, unless you live in SE Asia or are buddies with an exotic food wholesaler, you may struggle to get some of the ingredients to make these dishes. This book is a celebration of the delights, ingredients, drama, bustle and sheer humanity of eating on the streets in Thailand. Reading it took me straight back to Bangkok's Chinatown. The pictures are excellent, the writing evocative and I love that it is coffee table-sized. Read it, immerse yourself and be inspired to cook. Heck, drag it into the kitchen now and again, it's not that heavy. But don't buy it if you want a collection of easy to replicate Thai dishes.
